Jason Bateman is funny in this, how shocking. I love his comedic style and will probably watch anything he is in. I want to not like Mila Kunis, but I just keep liking her more and more. I kept thinking I knew what was going to happen next, and something completely different would happen, so I loved the plot.

I am going to be seeing explosions for days now. That was a LOT of explosions. It would be hard to say what was NOT on fire at some point during the movie. They had some really interesting camera styles going on, which were different than I expected. The plot suffered, because of all the time devoted to fiery doom, but it was fast-paced and kept you running along with it.
4. Trick 'r Treat

I didn't really know anything about this movie before watching it, so I was surprised at every turn in the story. It was very unexpected and fun.
5. Moon

This was a beautiful movie without losing my interest. It was different than I expected; there was a compelling plot, and I felt so bad for the poor guy. I highly recommend it!
6. Dr. Horrible
Yes, I am counting this as a movie. Yes, it is hilarious and I may or may not be stalking Joss Whedon's every move.
7. Ink
From the poster, I was expecting an animated movie, which it is not. It does do magical realism really well for a film. It was heartfelt and spooky, and I probably had dreams which I gladly don't remember about the CREEPY BAD GUYS. Those baddies are definitely not things I want hovering around me at night.
8. 9

The animation was beautiful; visually, it was an amazing movie. I felt the characters could have been explored in a different way.
9. Dead Snow

Slow beginning, but it sped up and got funnier towards the end. I almost shut it off halfway through because I was watching it alone in the dark, but the mood lightened up. There were a LOT of flying body parts.
To Watch:
The Devil's Backbone
Twelve-year-old Carlos (Fernando Tielve) is the latest arrival at Santa Lucia School, an imposing stone building that shelters orphans of the Republican militia and politicians during the last days of the Spanish Civil War. Carlos gradually uncovers the dark ties that bind the inhabitants of the school: hidden riches, sexual intrigue and the restless ghost of a murdered student, who may be the only one to provide resolution.
The Monster Squad
Dracula, the Wolfman, Frankenstein, the Mummy and Gill Man descend on a tiny town in search of a diabolically powerful amulet. But only 12-year-old Sean (Andre Gower) and his gang of monster-obsessed misfits can save the day in this overlooked 1987 horror comedy.
Shutter Island
Drama is set in 1954, U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels is investigating the disappearance of a murderess who escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane and is presumed to be hiding on the remote Shutter Island.
Slither
In the small burg of Wheelsy, housecats are turning into hellcats and townsfolk are morphing into zombies, prompting Sheriff Bill Pardy (Nathan Fillion) and the concerned wife (Elizabeth Banks) of one of the town's richest citizens to uncover the dark forces at work.
A Tale of Two Sisters
Two sisters who, after spending time in a mental institution, return to the home of their father and cruel stepmother. Once there, in addition to dealing with their stepmother's obsessive and unbalanced ways, an interfering ghost also affects their recovery.
The Wolfman
Upon his return to his ancestral homeland, an American man (Del Toro) is bitten, and subsequently cursed by, a werewolf.
Young Frankenstein
A laugh riot from beginning to end, this classic parody from director Mel Brooks stars Gene Wilder as Frederick Frankenstein, who detests his family history but ultimately can't resist the temptation to follow in his infamous grandfather's footsteps.
